The saga of the hamster continues. I spent hours getting the blotchy finish off, reshaping (after loosing an eighth of an inch each side), I sanded through the grades down to 600 grit. then I burnished the wood with 0000 wire wool.

I've applied sanding sealer today, and it's blotchy! :eek:o

The AR20 will be at Iceni on Sunday in it's old coat.......again

Get the man at Ford ranges to paint it for you..very reasonable and quite artistic!

(His EV2? has metal plates etc painted on the sides, looks really good!)

Or you could get a transfer kit online...easy to do..look on youtube X

I think some timber is just 'wooly' or has a short grain..:D
