2 weeks ago I bought a new Huntsman Regal from the Airgun Centre. Great service and a Special thanks to Jon Paul Lamoureux for arranging things and picking it up for me.
After owning a Regal XL 40ft/lbs for 3 years which I was to be honest disapointed with (another story) I decided to sell it and get a sub 12ft/lbs version, I love the looks and feel of the Huntsman Regal and wanted one that shoots as good as it looks. I have not been dissapointed :)

Well I got it set up and yesterday tried it out on the HFT course in Belgium. Firstly shooting 1/4 inch 10 shot groups at 30m. I then set up 15 knockovers from 10m to 50m and hit them all first shot (why cant i do that in a competition). However, I found the Regal to be too light and therefor unsteady when shooting unsupported standing and kneeling. I will also be fitting a regulator in the Regal. It is fairly consistent but could be better.

What a fantastic set of strings, none of my guns shoot like that and are twice the price of a regal - even with the reg!

    Congratulations.

I always liked my 2 regals(.177 & .22) lovely little guns & very accurate. Never bothered with a reg in either as the power curve was only ever minimal (.177 one had a fettle/polish @ xtx though). Nice shot string!:lev

    Its an Alteros regulator...

I have a Humareg in my TDR but it takes 2-3 seconds to get up to pressure after a shot.

The Alteros is immediate as is the Robert Lane reg in my EV2

I'd be happy with 2-3 seconds
