My first Hunter style shoot was in the summer of 1993, Meon Valleys first open shoot:) There where very few rules and the course was mostly shot standing, targets ranged from 4yds to however long the string was on the target:D:D I managed to get in the shoot off for 2nd place and blew it in one shot (no changes there then:eek:) and ended up 3rd:)
My first FT shoot was probably 93-94 at the Little Green school shoot run by the now defunct ARC that used to be based in Chichester, was an extreme 30 shot course with lots of unusual targets such as playing cards where the middle of the 5 of diamonds was a diamond shape 6mm kill, etc:D:D I think i finished the course with a score of 6!! They did run a hunter style dump/gamble shoot along side the FT which i took second in though with Dave Godwin taking the win:)
Even I couldn't have guessed that 16yrs later I'd still be doing it and enjoying it more than ever:)

Started doing FT in 1992 with a HW77 zeroed at 45yds and then aimed off. I paused in 2000 due to buying my first house and then sort off restarted in 2004 doing a mixture of FT and the modern style of HFT. Done this type of HFT at Quarry, Emley Moor, Redfearns and Plymouth.

Have also done the older style of CSFTA HFT in the late 90's which I found aan interesting challenge at the time. especialy a Newbury Winter one where some of the targets were greater than the 55yd FT maximum.

So really apart from 2 pauses a total of about 14years worth of competition shooting.

I started HFT in March 2007 after getting my first airgun in 2006. FT proper this year at the NEFTA classic and am thoroughly enjoying both.:)

Shot FT about 20+ years ago, had to stop as I couldn't do seated when I had a couple of discs removed, started again two and a half years ago when I discovered HFT.

I bought my first rifle in Jan this year and my first experience of HFT was a 15 target nightshoot at Shepreth in April, when I went to the AAOC meet.
