I'm off to Malta in january and if the UKAHFT series went up your way I'd still be there, in fact I don't think there's anywhere I wouldn't go for a big shoot!:D

To shoot a proper one day compertition, 550miles one way.;) That would include taking a plane and hiring a car, or the ferry:):D
    :shot:
Speak to RobF, he clocks in quite a few miles, and Berty along with the Welsh mob aren't afraid to travel either. Scooby and Sparky would have a fair fuel bill between them too!

I haven't worked that out about myself either :D

scotland is usually 1000-1100 miles door to door, about 8-9 hours up, sleep, gp, 8-9 down again squeezed into 36 hours

dunno, i'd rather fill a tank than spray it up a wall every other weekend...

car sharing helps, now I have an estate i can take 3, or squeeze a 4th into the car, which helps...

it's when you find yourself doing 3 international shoots in a year you really know you've got out of the boat :D

Well, I just travelled up from Cornwall to Anston for my second GP (700 mile round trip) and if you saw my score you might wonder why!! But it's great to get out and see how good an FT course can be.
Also, I'm running my van on veg oil, so I'm only paying 82p a litre! So it's Castle next!

Don't care how far, I will travel to do a national shoot but not a local as we usualy stop over at anything over 2 hours driving.

In the past I have done anything and everything HFT related that I possibly can no matter what distance but just lately sadly the reality of the cost for all this to go and shoot 30 targets is hitting home.
Next year I plan on doing anything within 1 1/2- 2 hours drive and I'm sure that this will still give me plenty of competitions to go at but the further shoots will be out for me I'm afraid.

My greatest distance traveled this year was Westfield Gp in Scotland 736 miles door to door, but hey the stunning views on the way up the A66 and the M74 made it all worth while.

Two scots lad once sang "I would walk five hundred miles" but don't think they were referring to HFT.

We can have a sing song in the car Bunnyman.
