    Hi
    I have done my first year with my leup comp scope. All summer, well, if could it a summer, I have waited for my scope to move with the warmer temperatures, and it hasn't.
    But over the last couple of months, I have noticed that the scope doesn't like the cold weather. At approx 6 degrees, the scope was under ranging by 2 yards. Then yesterday with temperature at just above zero, I noticed the scope had lost a further two yards, giving a total loss of 4 yards.
    Has anyone else experienced the same with their leup scope.....

    I have noticed lots of experienced Leupold users, leave their scope out to get climatised to the ambient temp and then move their wheel ie calibrate it with a known distance on the zero range.
    Turnip trunks Tool has pink and blue marks on his sidehwheel for winter/summer settings.

    I just use my MarchX, simple :D

    return the question

    John, lets reverse the question some what. Does it really matter if any one elses Leup comp moves at a given temperature?? You don`t own or use theirs do you. If yours moves then get to know when it does and at what temperature and adjust accordingly. All scopes move in different temperatures its pure physics.

    Find your point of shift and bingo, they all move similar but different , mine shifts 2.5 yards / 5mm on wheel , I know when it shifts so I have winter and summer marks on wheel , simple.
    As Gilly said , it's your Comp so only you need too know, it's experience of your own kit not what others does !

    And if anyone says their Comp don't shift they are pulling your trumpet.

    learning curve

    Think mine was out buy a couple of yds sunday,according to the long board on the plink.
    But regardless of distance,i still had to add twelve click's to get pellet's to strike a level line.
    Were you under rangeing or was the thicker air makeing you drop low.
    Getting to grip's with a leupold is a learning curve,but worth the effort me think's

    Are people seeing a shift right around the wheel or just at the top end? Still getting to grips with mine but it has definitely shifted a couple of mm on the wheel in the colder weather, I think it's only shifted at 50+ yards but I'm still learning the scope so can't be sure yet.

    If on sunday your scope was underanging buy two yards, Thats fair enough! but needing to add twelve clicks:eek: I would say your gun needs a re-zero for the colder weather, i didnt have to add anything on, wasnt even that cold...oh and my nikko was spot on too:)
