Now this i hope will not happen to you . i bought my 60 mag secondhand , it came with a March Side wheel and very nice Jon Harris side wheel .i like a small side wheel , so i fitted the March one . to cut a long story short . the side wheel fell of twice in comps . not good , i was told i was an old duffer and it was my fitting of it . well turns out it was not . there are i found out three different inners to the March side wheel . 31 mm . 34 mm ( the one i had ) and 36 mm . the 60 mag is 31 mm . thus the reason it kept falling off . £40 got me a new 31 mm inner and hopefully this one will stay on . info is on the march site . right onto victory , or at least a hot dog ??? HOLLY

Should have just used the Jon Harris one, Holly.
It's a nicer wheel to use imo.

The march ones I've seen are the same size anyway, 115mm?.

The spacer you had was probably for Jon’s wheel as the original owner had no intention of using the stock Match wheel.
Still kudos to you that you didn’t break out the araldite as you usually do and fixed the problem properly.
Of course as it’s you, at some time in the future you’ll be looking for another ‘bit’ and come across the correct spacer that you had all along...;)

Yeh, those spacers will only fit on the march wheel, Jon's are different.

The wheels we have are all the same size as the std march wheel..

How did you get a 34 mm wheel to fit a 31 mm nob in the first place ?

    That's quite a loose fit

Thinking about it . I seen to recall something similar with His Lordships March and a sidesheel .

    We cobbled something up

It did keep falling off, most memorably at the Euros a couple of years ago, I have a photo somewhere.
As DC says, our Rock hero is a law unto himself with regard to 'engineering'.
I remember an incident when he decided to improve his anschutz trigger by completely disassembling and cleaning it.
That went ok but on reassembly he was confronted by bits left over, but discounting them as surplus to requirement put it back in the rifle only to find that it wouldn't cock or fire...

Colin as usual makes the facts fit the story . not even i would try to take apart a shutz trigger . i did on my old GC2 to clean it . there are only two part to it really and some springs . took me about three hours to figure it out to get it back in . Phil , the inner on the March Side wheel has three allen bolts that press down onto plastic inserts . that actually press onto the parralax wheel . you could get contact with it by scewing the allen bolts down further . but of course not enough contact to hold it on in use . as it came with the scope . i naturally thought it was the right one . i will say John harris side wheel is a work of art ??? I think your grey cells are starting to play tricks...;)
Let me remind you that this was the Anschutz trigger on your 2002 and as you were taking it apart one of the springs pinged off and it took you an age to find it on the carpet?
    Coming back now is it...

would those be the same regionals that I cleared last year? and as for learning to use a stop watch you have to remember when Holly was a lad sundials were the only means of chronology.

Daz, don’t take him up on a burger bet as he never delivers, just ask Uncle NeilMac.
Holly is exempt from timing as it takes him an indeterminate amount of time to get his trigger to actually work...;)
