After a great introduction to the sport by Trevor and the boys and girls at Emley FTC I'm hooked (cheers everyone)
After shooting a few different set ups I really fancy a EV2
So now on the look out for a complete set up rifle, scope bottle etc

The boys and girls recommended shooting the breeze and what a brilliant website it is :)

My only concern at the moment is when I see something for sale im not sure if the price is right or not

Well look forward to meeting some more great people and cannot wait till I have my own kit and can enter competitions

    Cheers everyone

bienvenue à la maison de fous, as a Frenchman might say Mark.

It was probably yourself who I met, up at Emley, yesterday. You had a few shots with my TM1000?

Anyways, as suggested, depending on budget, an Air Arms S400 would be a great starting rifle (see the one KTM is selling in the Sale & Wanted section).
If you want to be a little more extravagant, I think I mentioned I have 2 Steyr LG110's for sale (both in GinB stocks) which I'd be more than happy to let you test drive for a week, if you were interested.
These are great rifles that not only shoot well, but are very easy to learn how to tune/maintain yourself. One of them has also just been fitted with a brand spanking new action, direct from Steyr.

Whatever you do, don't rush into anything, you'll certainly never find yourself up at Emley, stood around with nothing to shoot.

    /Danny

Yes it was me shooting your TM1000 thanks, really nice piece of kit
I haven't really decided what rifle to buy yet although the s400 of KTM 's is a very attractive price
    I have looked at
    Air Arms Pro Target
    Air Arms EV2
and read the reviews but not too sure as they seem to have problems with the regulator
I want the rifle to be a good long term investment as I really want to enter a few competitions
Not too sure of budget at the moment as the good lady has promised me some cash towards at Christmas
All being well I shall be back up at Emley this weekend finding out more info
    Regards
    Mark

Cheers Lee67 for the heads up on the S400
See Jamie has upgraded to a EV2 in a short space of time, this is what I don't want to happen
I'm trying to contain myself until xmas before purchasing as I will then know how much I have to spend

Hi Mark, i think you had a play with my steyr as well. I will bring my TX200 up to the club on sat, it may be a bit later as we have the club do on friday night;)

Glad to see that you're still keeping the options open. depending on budget my advice for PCP would be as below. You'll be ok at the club for air so charging eqmt can be got later and the scope depends on what you fancy shooting.....plinking, HFT or FT. You can decide that once you've found your feet a bit at the club.

    AAs400
    AA MPR
    AA EV2
    Steyr
