From what I have been told about Ft, the scope is more important then the rifle

Depends on your budget but S/H AirArms 400 & a Big Nikko would be a good start:cool:

from the little i no of FT is you will need a good scope as stated this important for picking the ranges pin point
some will say the 09 big nikko green turret scope is the bees knees , you will need a been bag but it can be no thicker than 100mm i believe.. A shooting glove is a bit of the norm between shooter of both disaplins FT/HFT
other than a means of filling your rifle you can crack on and shoot , hope you enjoy youself and have fun

I guess you're popping along to Buckley Wood.

Nice compact ground, sometimes car parking is a pain though. The main thing I wanted to say is that BW is more oriented towards Hunter these days and the number of members shooting FT there has dropped.

There are several other clubs specialising more in FT, and not too far away, if that is what you want to concentrate on.

    Hi Andy

Get on down to Buckley and enjoy the shooting, the company and the breakfast. Take your time and decide whether you want to shoot FT or HFT (Hunter) because in many ways the requirements are contradictory (especially the scope). Then talk to a specialist - and you've already had some responses from really good FT and HFT shooters in this thread. Just make sure you listen to the right specialist ...

    Regards

    Dave
