Seeking a HFT club /ground in the Ironville area, any recommendations. I've already looked at the club checker, nothing doing.

You may have gathered by the lack of response that there are very few clubs in your area.
You may wish to try Codnor ftarc over the border at DE7 4PR or Woodend Farm Complex at NG17 2QJ.
You are already aware of the fate of Tall Trees.
I am at NG15 near Newstead Abbey and I practice (before and after) at the venue of each HFT comp. For that reason I travel approximately 50 miles to each comp and known as "the old bloke with all the gear and no idea".
    Good luck.

Misfits at Tilton on the Hill near Melton Mowbray, about 30 miles from NG16.

    Keep trying.
If you are in the Notts area at the weekend, try Tall Trees on Saturday 13 April. NG12 3GE.

The short and the tall of it is you'll have to travel a bit for your sport. There's loads of HFT clubs in the Midlands within an hour from you. I personally limit myself to a 2 hours drive max for a HFT comp unless its something special or a group of us are going.

I'm in what I would consider a really good area for HFT, but the closest is still an hour drive. For regular club shoots we'll do 90 mins or 2 hour drive. For UKAHFT rounds we'll do more.
    Just the way it is
