I have a Nikko Stirling Diamond 10-50x60 scope. I bought this second hand and so do not know exactly how old it is. I am looking for a zoom lever for it. Rowan Engineering do one but it says on their site that it only fits the Mk 3 model. I have the box for the scope and it just calls it a10-55x60 MD which I understand means it is a mil dot version. Is there any way of determining if it is a Mk3 or what else it might be? The Rowan product isn't cheap( as you would expect) so I don't want to make a mistake!

Also does anyone know where i might get some lense covers for this? I have even tried the importer and they say they can't get them.

If you are in doubt give Rowan Eng a call they will tell you.

Mk 1 normally has black turrets (no turret covers)
MK 2 has green turrets(no turret covers)
Mk 3 has green turret covers

Save yourself a fortune and get yourself a fishing coaster from eBay and use one of them instead. Lots of people do.

    fishing coaster

You can always tell a good Yorkshire man they're a bit like the Scots only with tighter purse strings !!!

I've got three Bushnell's and have fishing coasters fitted to all of them but if you have £30+ quit and you don't know what to spend it on by all means get yourself a Rowan unit, they do look great and will do the job just as well as a £5 quid fishing coasters (they come in pairs so you could sell the spare and make some money on the deal)

One word of advice don't go into a fishing shop that sell coarse fishing gear because they'll look at you stupid when you ask for a fishing coaster. They're for sea fishing.

There's nothing looks better than topping off a £800 scope with a 20p's worth of tat, why not go the whole hog and knock a nail in :)

Please could you be more specific and say what colour and which high street salon you use for nails?

Speak to Andy, he has a wide array of sizes and lengths, I'd recommend the 6" galvanised with an 8mm head, preferably punched through both sides of the adjuster.

I'm really pleased that nobody has sunk so far as to use hyperbole. :lev

My Sightron is currently adorned with a diamond studded, gold plated coaster which sets it off a treat. :D
