Fine details to be sorted on Saturday... Come and have a good days sport and support our solders especially the ones that have to battle back to fitness and quality of life.

we started ripping out parts of the course yesterday to separate ft / from hft. the course will not be as hard as a full gp course but will test the best. gazzer is sorting out a very competative hft course.
scoring will be x / 0 for the ft course and normal 2 for a hit and 1 for a dink no kill.
    maximum score being 110--- 50 ft & 60 hft.

to get every one around in daylight we can start as early as you wish, starts will be on any lane so no waiting, and we ask shooters to get there as early as possible please.
details of the event are evolving so changes will or could be made.

update, all looking good for the 29th " HELP FOR HEROE'S" shoot at the east devon shooting ground. just two more hft lanes to complete and that should be done on friday.

THIS IS A FUN SHOOT SO THE LESS RULES THE BETTER, AS LONG AS RIFLE'S ARE LEGAL AND STANDARD SAFETY IS TAKEN

THE RIFLE SCOPE COMBO YOU START WITH HAS TO DO ALL 80 TARGETS, YOUR ALLOWED TO FILL UP AIR WHEN YOU WANT. NO LIMIT ON SCOPES OR POWER AND PX ALLOWED THROUGH OUT.

the shoot, as it stands will be (weather permitting) 50 ft targets shot as you wish no standers or kneelers unless you want to shoot that way. the ft course has targets for all standards from novice to aa.
then the hft course of 30 hft targets not to hft rules but put out to test the best and some give me's for the rest.only rule to be in contact with the yellow post when shooting dont take the mick.
normal scoring fot ft ie 50/50 and same hft std scoring 2 for a hit 1 for a dink. 60/60

you can shoot with your mates in two / threes as long as you do not hold any one up.

so max score will be 110. eliminators will be in place to avoid long delays.
    prizes will be from
    1ST - 5TH OVERALL FT - HFT
    1ST - 3RD FT
    1ST - 3RD HFT
    1ST - 3RD NOVECE / JUNIOR BEGINER FT/HFT
    1ST - 3RD JUNIOR FT
    1ST -3RD JUNIOR HFT

IF POSSIBLE GET THERE AS EARLY AS YOU CAN SO WE CAN COMPLETE EVERYTHING SO WE GET ALL THE DAYLIGHT. We can use any lane to start so no waiting around.

Very well done to Jerry and all the guys at East Devon for a very successful shoot today, I dropped in at 9.30am and already over 50 shooters were on the course, very cold in the wood with alot of shots dropping low, not sure on overall result but the main one is a good amount of money raised for help the heros, Welldone again guys and Thankyou to Heavitree Road guns for the prizes..

Big thanks to Jeremy for all your hard work arranging the shoot at EDFTC today and anyone else that helped with the course setting prior to the competition.

It was a good day's shooting which was very enjoyable and everyone that I spoke to had a great time. :) The weather was cold, but the rain managed to hold off until the very end when it just started to drizzel during the presentations.

Congratulations to MIKE WATTS (from Mendip) who took both the FT and 'Overall' Title with some superb shooting, only dropping 1 on the FT course (49 ex 50) and clearing the HFT (60 ex60) giving 109 out of a possible 110 points! .......WELL DONE MIKE

As previously said, Thankyou to Heavitree Road guns for the prizes ... it was very much appreciated.

Thanks to Jeremy Stamp and the guys from EDFTC and Heavitree road guns who all helped to make an excellent days shooting. It was great to get out with the gun again.
And well done to Mike Watts for an excellent score!
