    Height 4"

It's supposed to be no more than 4" when squashed between two boards

100mm or roughly 4 inches, all covered in shoot rules.
Maybe you should take a look as you are a Marshall at every competition you enter.

A bum bag goes round your waist Sue. To put your wallet/purse & things in to.
It can be any size you like. Depending upon how big you bum is !!!! :D:D:D:D

The thing you sit on has to be squeezed between two planks. (not recommended) :)

WFTF Rule 1.6 says 150mm measured between 2 boards.

    Bfta rule's

Sue is shooting Bfta comp's so 100mm is the figure, although some seem to like to use all their bean's:eek:

Stuff your sack to much it won't fit in ...........

If it's stated as 100mm then maybe it should be enforced ?

Worlds in Hungary 2010 bags were measured at chrono station, I know its another thing to do but it took under seconds, there's generally 2 people on a station, all you need is a box say 500mm x 500mm x 100mm deep internal dimensions, throw your bag in there if the lid shuts pass if it doesn't you have to empty some beans out until it does shut.

And before you all start bleating "I've got a Kilty bag and it's bigger in diameter blah blah blah moan ............. well if its stuffed to the max it will be bigger but with the correct amount of beans in it will fit in a box that size because I've tried mine, it's just less beans obviously.

    Compressed

Make it strong Scott, the rules say when compressed between two boards, that mean's you can stand on the lid to compress if needed.
Think you would be waisting your time any way, bean bag's that are too deep is the least broken rule.

Anyway lets get rid of bean bags for kneeling shots for next year. Bfta can buy a couple of flat mats that can be placed at the kneeling lane. No bean bags for kneeling no cheating, job done.

do away with them all together

    Get rid of kneelers.
Most people seem to place to much pressure on their joint's,so just get rid of them all together.

To be honest si i think there should be at least another kneeling lane in a G.P. Apart from judging wind the skill in shooting is the standing and kneeling.

    bean bags

    Hi,
I think you would be wasting your time because even if the bags were checked before the shoot and found to be legal I think you'll find some folk fold the bag before kneeling/sitting on it and I don't think that's covered in the rules.

If no one is abiding by any rules they way are we doing it ?

Ok forget the box idea , only a thought, knew it would get poo poo'd

Off topic in away but regarding kneelers ...........

At Castle WL on Sun I took all kneeling shots standing due to my back problem at moment, don't see and can't see why kneeling shots should be removed , if you can't kneel take them standing ?

I think a kneeling roll and mat should be allocated on kneeling lane , mat to keep knee from scrubbing ground and roll so it's same for everyone ?

You can poo poo this idea now .....................

    I agree

    Mark
I agree they are skill shots but some people have developed a skill for doing them wrong.
Maybe a mat and a Marshall is the way forward.
