After recent discussions I thought maybe I should bring up the use of hats in UKAHFT.
I've often felt that using a different hat for some targets may be of virtually no advantage but wondered if I could switch between a Trilby and then to a Stetson or maybe a jauntily angled Beret would be acceptable?
Perhaps a Fez for cloudy days owing to its lack of brim? Or a nice Pith helmet for days when the leaves are falling? Perhaps the type of hat should be governed by the colour or style of ones hair?
I feel its an absolute minefield and surely we need some guidance in the matter......

Before anyone jumps on the subject...ITS A PISSTAKE!! :D:D:D

the rules are quite clear if you start with a hat you must finish with the same hat

I think that hats should be compulsory for all national comps. However I think that people with better scopes than me shouldn't be allowed to compete as it gives them an unfair advantage. In fact everyone should use the same set up as me, and as I can't see from one eye I should get to poke out one of everyone elses'. Just to make a level playing field you understand.

I find leaving it on removes the pulse and steadies my aim resulting in less splash :) Still miss for windage sometimes though :eek::D
