Note - this postcode puts you 0.6 miles away from the entrace to the shoot.

The grid reference you want is N53.586939, W2.803359 This will take you right to the entrace to the shoot / scout camp.

I hate using postcodes for shoots - Satnavs almost always ask for a house number as well and you can end up a mile or so away from the shoot :(

    Dave.

Many thanks for that info. Post codes are great for a quick look at location, routes, etc but coordinates are so much better (some hosts seem to be able to put out signs really well and some ... well one by the entrance is all very well except you managed to get there already :) ).

Are there any requirements beyond normal safety e.g. "gun must be in bag" since it is a Scouts camp site?

    Thanks
    Neil

You're quite right. Please keep guns bagged until you get to the booking-in/course area/zeroing area. Tawd Vale operates a 'muzzle down' code other than when shooting. As it is a Scout camp, please see the Cheif Marshal if you wish to take photographs on site. Photos aren't forbidden, but the Scouts can understandably get twitchy with young people about.
Can't think of anything else that isn't standard.
    Thanks for asking.

Anyone down tomorrow for a zeroing session will be able to book in to their Sunday session early to avoid the crush on the day :D
    Between 4.00 and 6.00pm-ish.

Oh, and the Chief Marshal will be patrolling to keep you off the main course:eek:
