Thought I will introduce myself as I have been loitering a bit. From South Africa and have a few in the cuboard. Latest addition a LG110 Connect in blue. Love the rifle and have only had it for a few days. Love it so much that it is the 1st time that I feel I dont need more rifles in the cuboard
Luger. I will be honest. The 1st day I sat down with it I had a splitting headache and the rifle just did not feel right. 2nds time I started getting smiles as I was shooting at the text on a coke can at 50m in the wind and not missing by far. Love it already. So yes the EV will have to find a new home! This is definately the most accurate rifle I have ever had or shot! Will have to find an indoor range to test it. put it this way. I feel this is the 1st rifle I have had that is capapble of one hole at 50m (ragged hole )
They are ALL (not just the Steyr) capable of a one hole group at 50m, it's just up to the capabilities of the operator.
ok. so here is a 30 shot string from around 190bar with AA fields unsorted and unlubed. The consistancy I was expecting is not really there. The accuracy is though I mean if I can compare with my EV the EV puts them all within 5fps spread but is not nearly as comfortable as the Stery! So my question. Anyone know how how I can improve on this? Just for peace of mind sake 792 790 794 797 791 788 792 799 787 789 790 785 800 776 790 788 786 796 788 791 783 800 788 800 796 797 797 800 796
You've only got one ringer, the 776. Put that down to a fat or heavy pellet. If it was the gun then you would likely have had more than one low reading amongst that lot.
you are probably right. If I take the 776 out then I have a 17fps spread which is not stunning but I understand the steyrs are not renowned for steller shot to shot cinsistancy but rather shot to shot accuracy
0.1 grn will give a 3fps variation in a good barrel. Pellets unsorted from the tin can give a 8.1 - 8.7grn sometimes worse with a bad batch. Thats a 0.6grn difference which will give a 18fps variation A good Steyr with weighed pellets will give 5fps.
