For those of you who have problems in the winter or on a really muddy summer course . try a pair of golf shoes . they come in a few varieties . either with spikes metal or plastic . good ones have a stiff soul and are waterproof . e bay is your friend . look for foot joy . ??? HOLLY

Do you also wear one white glove and loud tartan trousers?

Inov8 trail trainers is what I used to solve the problem. I prefer a low heel for sitting so my feet don't rock and they're really comfy, really grippy, and have just started to give up the ghost after 2 seasons. You can get them for about £60 if catch the discounters, but they're normally on offer somewhere across the year.

At least that way if shooting isn't your thing you can switch to a new hobby and already have some of the kit, though it would be a brave man who turned up at a GP in a pair of golf shoes and expected mercy...:D
Taking your thinking one stage further maybe 'clown shoes' might be even more successful, spreading the weight as it were...

Now that actually looks useful, certainly a lot better than Holly's Ronald McDonald specials...;)

    That's my replacement pair.

I'll probably see if I can pick up a 3rd but they opted for a lurid green colour for 2018/19 and so I'm waiting for the new one. They are water proof but obviously low heeled so the water can get in that way. Mine have just started to split on the little toe joint. They've been used though for almost every plink and comp and course build since I've had them so for £60 I'm happy.

I'll post some shots of the old soles so you can see the wear.

I’ve heard him say that to but I think you missed the rest of the sentence which was “four feck sake!”

Please Gents calm down . not all golf shoes are in bright colours . no mine are in black with plastic spikes on the sole . they look like a normal pair of country light weight boots . as said the soles are stiff , the backs quite low . waterproof . the foot goes flat on the floor . and now for the best bit . they cost £ 20 quid posted off flea bay . well over hundred quids worth . what is not to like . ??? HOLLY

Darron , well done on your win at the regionals this year by the way ? Oh you did not win ? second then ? oh well maybe next year .
