So what pellets are you guys with 800's using?

I've just picked up a Basic which has been running on Accupels, they work well, but are soft lead and the barrel was pretty grubby.

So before I start searching for something else, I thought I'd ask the obvious question.

That's encouraging, as when I tried JSB's over the chono the variation was over 15fps.

They are Sniper Medium's Simon, and I'll be trying them, along with the JSB's and Air Arms when I have the time to sit down at 55 yards for an hour or two.

    Sized

I think sizing will bring your variance down to a more respectable spread . My Steyr has about a 12 fps difference but sized is about 4 fps difference.

Me? I used to size all my pellet before I stopped shooting. When I came back and was trying to get the FTP shooting well I tried it again, but it made absolutely no difference at all, so I just settled with a batch of pellets which suited it.

I will see what standard pellets look like over the chrono and may well size a few to see if the variation is reduced, but really if the variation is below 10 fps, then that's good enough and really it's the groups at 55 yards that will dictate the choice of pellets in the end.
