A lovely morning up the Mill today and blessed with some fine weather. So much better than had we shot it two weeks ago in the rain. Even in the dry some lanes required crampons to stop you slipping down the bank. Once again it s nice to see the travellers coming to shoot and hopefully enjoying themselves and we are grateful for their support.

An in form Mick Fern took top honours but must be kicking himself for shooting a target that was down; nevertheless, great shooting Mick. It s nice to report not a single stoppage today so thanks to all the marshals and those who helped with the course.

Next shoot is in two weeks so we ll be on the old course for that one; hope to see you there. All scores on count-back.

Challenging course mick, thanks to you and the mill boys for that.

The elevated unsupported stander was horrible, it looked smaller and further away when you looked through the scope than it did with the mk1 eyeball

Thanks to the Furnace Mill crew today for a VERY challenging course of ups & downs (not one flat/level shot on the whole course!) + enough breeze to make you think. :p Complacency shooting a dead target  & a "rushed" target probably cost me a theoretical pb of 58?:lev Absolutely chuffed to bits on my 1st outright win though today, well worth the trip!:D Thanks also to Steve Watson for the company & the lift there too!

Thanks David & Kathy! If I could only concentrate for a whole course I might get there (as I threw at least one point away yesterday at the Hft masters)? They say you "live & learn" but 40+ ex girlfriends will testify that I don't!:p
