if i were to put my eye to the scope, and before i touched the side wheel, and a whistle was called, would i have the full two minutes when the restart came, or would the clock be restarted at the time of the whistle.

Clock starts when you put your eye to the scope, generally you would load your gun first then when you are ready you put your eye back to the scope then your remaining time starts.

Eye to scope. It could be a minute before you touch the scope trying to find the target!

I sit down at the lane i'm about to shoot on, I carefully and strategically place my bean bag, then take my favourite F.T pellet (bulldogs), load it into my rifle, look at the target guess roughly 50 yards turn clicks to fifty, turn parallax wheel to fifty ish yard, then look through my scope, my question is............... how long for a 10lb turkey on gas mark 6 ??????????????

For turkey time starts 2 hours later than you should have started and once oven is warmed to GM 6 and hand has been burnt pulling out oven tray... Stuffed or unstuffed...?

I'm currently fingering my turkey with a cumquat stuffing material , quite salty and sticky in substance but once it's had a tickle on Gas mark 8 should firm up.

Is a cumquat a root vegetable Dave ? my little festive fountain of root veg knowledge ?

You could always setup a spit roast and either have it dry or try rubbing in a little goose fat
