    I'm presently looking at a Daystate Mk 3 .177 FT-R, with a view to purchase as a 1st gun ( £400)
    CBX - scope -moderator, bag.
Any thoughts, observations, advice will be greatly appreciated.

Only problem that I ever had with mine was that the batteries died. Changed by Daystate and it was spot on after that. Nice to use and very accurate.
If you're getting the scope, mod, bag etc for that price and it is working properly and in good condition, that's cheap.

    Mk3 FTR.

I had the same model, it was brilliant whan working very accurate. But it died (batteries started to get hot and smelly) would need to be fixed at Daystate they had serviced it and fitted new batteries around 12 months earlier. But now out of warranty so more expense you are totally in their hands.
So make sure its been serviced and the batteries are good and the power is at around 11.3 ft/lb. consistent and accurate. Best of luck, I think you will need it. Buyer beware.:)

    That's a very sound recommendation w-v-m.
I have bought the FT-R. Will collect it on Tuesday.
I have been assured that it is in very good condition: and the seller seems genuine.

Thank you, each, for the various input
