Well after "sorting" my MK3 and starting to get some realistic scores, the bloody thing
    is shooting erratically again!!!

Even had Guy try it out and he was getting a mil-dot of poi shift at 35yds.

I am convinced there is something sticking in the reg and that is causing the problems.
Not sure what to do with it next, just about had enough.

To top it off, I have had the headache from hell all afternoon.

Mate i know the feeling, best send it back get it fixed and get those scores back up to where they were boss. It really does your head in when you know you can shoot well and you just cant seem to nail the 2's . I know ....let me tell ya...I know!!!!!

Get it fixed and get shot of it mate...confidence in it will never be the same if your constantly waiting for something to go wrong. Maybe go for something completely different and the change will give you a boost:)

    Vin,

Drove me mad today, it was spot on, then it wasn't, then it was again. Not even something you
    could allow for.

Might try the HW100 for a bit.

Have you checked the 4 barrel screws?

Not the barrel mate, if it was that I would be happy enough, but it as to be the reg.
The POI shift is significant and unpredictable.

It's infuriating, because when it's right, it is fantastically accurate.

I had a similar problem with my Mk3 FTR autumn last year. Sometimes you could 'clear' it by firing it off a couple of times, but never consistently. In the end I took it up to Daystate and they serviced the reg - problem gone

    Good luck

Neal, you've not done 'owt daft like accidentally mix pellets from 2 batches in the same tin have you - often a simple one to overlook.

The batch of AA I had a while ago read over 20fps higher than a later batch, later batch also were rubbish consistency and gave chrono readings all over the place.

Do a few chrono strings with weighed pellets to check the reg first.

    Hope you get it sorted:)

Yep I've done the same, you'd think they would fly the same but they don't, everyone thought I was making it up after a bad shoot.

    Glad I didn't imagine it.

Going to do some chrono tomorrow night, see what I get, but to get a POI shift of 1 mil-dot
at 35yds sounds to be a bit of a concern. Shot a 45yd target yesterday and the POI was 25yds!
Then back to normal on the next shot :(

Pellets are the same batch of JSB's that I have been using with the rifle for ages. It started to
perform well at the Emley Nationals round and was running really well, then took it to Basingstoke
and 16 clicks righ and 4 down at 15yds for some reason :(

Oh well, that's airgunning for you. Hopefully I can get it right in the very near future.
