The course is now out at Tawd, finishing touches during friday such as plinking cards, arrival of portabogs etc.

For competitors who want a zero session, we will open the Zero range (only) from approx 4pm - 6pm.

Zero range does not include pistol course, sideshoot or access to main course. Any shooter found on the course or shooting at anything else other than the zero cards will be disqualified.

Please Keep rifles covered while not within the shooting area, this includes the car park, we have been specifically asked for shooters not to fill guns in the public car park area.

    Many thanks.:)

Does the fact that we can not fill the guns in the car park mean that we have to carry all our bottles to the zero range or course:confused:

It's nice to know we have so many shooting friends who understand the situation of being under public scrutiny:rolleyes: The car park is not just for shooters, but also members of the public who can, as I'm sure you will know, get excited at the sight of people with guns.

For the benefit of anyone who can not carry a bottle far, Tawd also have less able members and we manage the situation every single week without complaint or mishap.

On arrival, we may offload bottles before parking the car. No big deal really.

    Enjoy the round.

They are both the new type, I may drop the father in law off near the bottom with the bottle and ask him to carry it down thanks. can you check with the club officials for me to see where i stand as far as insurance if my bottle gets stolen, cheers.

Dave its not the fact of not understanding its the fact that we have now only been informed.

Another thing to note that don't forget there will be a load of shooters turning up who won't get to know about this until on the day, so if Tawd can supply some marshals/members for the carpark to explain it to them.

No intention of questioning the club rules, or doing anything that would alarm the onlooking public, but to announce such a rule at such short notice will bring criticism from many who may not feel comfortable about posting it on here. I would just like the question of policing the bottles answered, along with the insurance stance of the club if my bottle is stolen.

There is no sarcasm in this post aimed at anybody at the club so please don't reply to me with it.

I've been to Tawd quite a few times for both BFTA GP's & UKAHFT rounds & I've never heard of this before, we've always filled the guns in the carpark.

Is this a long standing rule then as I was lead to believe that it's only a recent thing?

If it is a long standing thing I wonder how the storage area will cope with 50+ bottles in one area, quite a safety issue if one gets knocked over.

In that case most of the BFTA GP shooters & UKAHFT shooters attending Tawd last year were breaking a rule they were never informed existed
