I bought mine for ebay, from a UK supplier.

1000mm will make you two tubes.

I used 16mm id, 18mm od and this fits perfectly into both the breech and onto the back of a UK Neil muzzle brake.

I did mine in a similar way, 500mm carbon fibre tube about £15 on ebay plus a push on moderator from UkNeil

You might need a bouyancy aid as they are so heavy,:D.

To be honest unless you're really after the 'carbon' look then just take the clamp and bottom rail off the action, polish up the barrel and leave it bare:

That's how AA should have supplied it! instead of charging everyone more for parts that not only no body wanted but in many cases actually ruined the accuracy and most have binned!

I don't know what pellets you've tried through it, but give AA Expresses at 800fps a try.
Next best I found were AA Fields at 775fps.
Tried all flavours of JSB Exacts and it was like a shotgun out of my barrel.

Unlike my HW100 which was very pellet fussy, my FTP has been fine with all JSB Exacts and Express together with several different H&N offerings. In fact I have yet to find any decent pellets that it is not accurate with. Perhaps I am just lucky.

The OD of the barrel is 14mm, Neil can be found on most of the airgun forums.

Isn't it strange how the same model can vary so much with regard to pellet fussiness. Maybe your barrel is a CZ and mine a Walther or something.

I must admit I haven't checked, I didn't even know they used different barrels. With the HW100 they were very individual with one gun spraying pellets all over the place that another gun loved. I resized 2500 pellets one wet Sunday only to find my gun hated them, fortunately the FTP gets on well with them.

You get a very good choice on ebay from Chinese suppliers of carbon tube, gloss or matt, I've ordered 5 or 6 pieces and had no problems with delivery, takes a couple of weeks. Usually much cheaper.

The funny thing is that my HW100 was superbly accurate with anything including of all things .177 hobbies, not pellet fussy at all, though best of the bunch was AA Fields.

Regarding barrels, AA may have changed their procurement but I think in the old days they would buy whatever batches of barrels were available, so it was pretty hit or miss which brand of barrel you ended up with.

My FTP is similar and hates all sizes of JSB exacts but loves AA Fields 4.51 upto 40 yds and JSB heavies for 41-75yds.
I'd like to try AA heavies but have only found one guy in Portugal selling them and they cost to much.
Does anyone know somewhere in the UK that sells AA heavies in .177 or why they are so difficult to get over here.
    Chris.
