Unfortunately at Bisley we had a number of shooters who didn't want to accept the marshals ruling & decided to argue the fact, this is not acceptable & will not be tolerated.

If any shooter has a problem with a marshals decision then they can politely ask for the head marshal, who will listen to the facts & make a decision, If you've had a target checked then this has been done by the head marshal anyway.

    - Once a decision has been made you must immediately carry on shooting without arguments.

    - If you aren't happy with the decision but carry on without argument then you are quite welcome to come & see Pete Sparkes or myself, we will be happy to listen to the problem.

    - If a shooter decides to argue they will be informed they risk disqualification if they continue arguing.

    - If a shooter then continues to argue they will be disqualified & asked to leave the course immediately.

    - If a shooter continues to argue, offers abuse to a marshal or refuses to leave the course then they risk banning from all future UKAHFT events.

Please remember that UKAHFT marshals are shooters like yourselves who marshal without payment & do a fantastic job, they are not there to argue with or to justify rules you don't like

    Hi Pete,
"Illegal" targets, a term coined in NIFTA, have caused controversy over here, again after they have been shot!:D
Bitching and whining and crying along the firing line does nothing but ruin the enjoyment of others' day out.

My veiw on this subject is simple, get down pull the sting, make your mind up how far it is and pull the trigger,if it falls over great if not try harder and learn from your mistakes. Keep it simple and dont blame the organisers because you had a bad day.

I'm not really sure why we're putting up with these clowns. With all the inter club niggling that's been going on i think we need some sort of disciplinary proceedure adopted for all these situations. I know that when Marshalling or being an organiser dictates a certain amount of diplomacy is needed but there comes a time when the 'big stick' is required. The calling of targets needs to be looked into and a little common sense from the shooter applied, for example, i'm 99.9% certain that i hit dead centre of the kill on target 23 on sunday but it didn't go down. There's no point calling the target as 100 shooters must have shot it before me and IF it was a split you wouldn't be able to see it anyway. I think what i should have done was ask the marshall to call the chap on the chrono to see if anyone had called the target previously as the called targets are recorded there. Sometimes we have to accept that the target just didn't fall over:D. Of course this can only be done by the shooter seeing the pellet strike.

The problem with some at the UKAHFT rounds is that they think that they are a better shot than what they actually are:D;)
