    Just a quick heads up.

Due to a lack of communication, this will now not be the John Thomas Memorial shoot.

However, there will be the usuall 40 shot ft course, £6 entry.:)

    Free practise range.:)

There will also be a mini main / Vermin side shoot comprising of about 15 ish targhets. £1 a go, Bargain!
The perfect warm up to the main, or warm down. Or chance to shoot another gun.:shot::eek:

probably not Gary. No room for a pistol course this time. Think we may do one for winter shoot?

Did a bit of prep work today. Putting strings out over the top ponds Dave Gage and I could not get over the fact there was not a breath of wind.
I am sure those who shot these lanes in the 2008 Gp will remember some tricky wind up there!

If the forcast 2mph wind is on schedule for Sunday, could see a lot of high scores with only the standers and keelers to sort things out???

Course is out and as long as the forecast wind is just a whisper as promised, should be some good score.

Its a tough course though, seems quite long though i have not measuered them just estimated.

Got 6 reducers, just a couple of long ones and plenty of hitable ones? What am i on about, all reducers are hitable:D

4 standers, 1 long, 1 medium and 2 shorther ones.

    4 kneelers, 1 long, 2 medium, 1 gimmie!

Think the standers and kneelers will have a lot to do with splitting the top shots in each class?

14 shot Vermin is out, got a good mix of kills sizes and some obsticles to guide your pellet through. Will be interesting to see how shooters cope with the 15 ml kill?

    Hope all enjoy the day.

For wafta, a cracking entry of 45 shooters were at todays final Summer Wafta round.

Summer by nature and summer by name. Summer are not:)
Nice Sunshine through the day, no wind at the start with just a whisp of a breeze as the day progressed which, combined with the course set out by Dave Gage produced on the whole a perect set of results

Little Jack was first on the scene, Your scores and stats collator (me) was somewhat worried when arriving at the ground (8.10am) this morning to find the Young Welsh star with his elder driver as the quarry has been runoured to be a saturday night haunt:eek:.
The pair (not mentioning Toms name) assured me all was well and that they had only just arrived.

First on the scene and first past the post thus was the little fella with a top score of 35 x 40, this despite having two called targets ruled out by marshalls. You did not bloody hit that:D
Peter Jacob tied on 35 and then took the 1st place prize money after a shoot off.
Not sure what Planet I am on lol Peter won the shoot off. In my defence, jacks card is marked as 1st?

Having failed to clinch one shoot off, Jack then set about dispelling the myth that 15 ml kills are too hard by dropping the "Vermin" 15ml kill, 2 ex 3 to take the overall vermin prize money by beating Berty.
Did I mention this was standing?
Topping off the day the raffle prize went Jacks way way making it a Master of all today it seemed! Well done young man, but wait till i get a working Ev2:p

John "The bank" Lewis took a superb 3rd place despite being crocked and with the ban on him bringing his S400 to tondu in place! Top shooting by the Wafta Chairman and I am sure I speak for all when i wish you well in your upcoming operation on the dodgy peg and hope to see you in FT action asap.

I set the Speed camera up on the Standing lane today, thaught it would give shooters a chance to look at their stance and compare to others.

Top of the Pile, 3rd shoot in a row.

    Pics and percentages

Fair play Simon, you must have good time to play with the targets hit etc.

Liking the pics and yes the ev2 is not well, too many flyers for happening with weighed pellets.

Hopefully that will change when the gun is rebuilt. It was the last shoot with the action looking like it does. It should look somewhat different in the future. Plus the stock will look different after it will be dipped.

Im going to have to use my little spare ev2 for everything now such as ft and hft. Lucky I got quick release mounts eh haaahaa.....

Great day at Tondu in all and superb course. A shame about the amount of whisltes though heehee...

Cant be bothered to work today, well until friday really

The standing lane from which the photos stem.

1st stander was 44 yards, second one about 28.

Of the 12 shooters that scored 30 or more, John the Bank was the only one to hit the 44 yarder.:Well done:)
Of those 12 shooters, John the bank was the only one to miss the shorter stander:confused:

I guess thats standers for you?

    15 ml kills, and less

Looking at the Vermin score cards, 11 out of the 20 cards handed back in managed to hit the 15 ml kill that was at 33 yards. I missed it the first time, twitched,
Sorted my position out on the 2nd go and took it out with ease really. It did look a small kill at that range.
However, I see no reason why 15 ml kills out to 30 yards could not become part of Ft, they have them to 25 yards ( i believe) in hft and are only using 10 ish mag scopes.

Our 10mm kill was at 27 yards and again was hit 11 out of 20 times, bearing in mind these are shooters of all classes.
Our 8mm kill at 13 yards was hit 11 out of 20.

Granted, the 10 and 8 are very small kills and I am quite happy to see these be lmited to under 20 yards.

A couple of 15mm in the closer lanes sounds like a good idea Simon, unless you make an error even a 25mm reducer is a pretty easy shot when your sitting, different matter for standers mind you!

one thing i would like to see introduced for the Wafta is a piston class, might talk to John about that, mind you Les would probably win everything then:p

    great Photographs as usual!

    Mike.
