Ahh cheers for simonix that it might be me being a bit picky. It's the engineers OCD.
    Here's a few pics Lee

Looks lovely. Such a nice design. They look just like the powder burner pistols they used to make.

Sorry yes it is side to side play. I don't have any slip gauges at hone but just using calipers it's 0.6mm ish. Thanks for check your 604. I'm surprised that the 604 sight moves as I thought they were hand finished.

    I believe they were.

The play mine has is only very very slight. Enough to allow it to move easily under the spring tension, but not enough to make a “rattle” when moved.

Have you tried undoing the big top sight adjustment screw all the way out to see how bad it really is, if at all?

Yes it is very nice and and it fits me well. I'm happy with every other aspect of it just not the rear sight play:confused:

I tried to upload a video showing the play on mine, but computer says no!

Like I say, admittedly without seeing yours, I can’t believe it would be enough play to affect the accuracy of the intended use. It’s not like your trying to hit 15mm at 35 yards! Haha.

True. And the way I shoot 10m pistol I'm usually lucky to keep it in the black. Thanks for you help Simonix.

Well I decided not to return the gun. Looking at the top casting and the pressed steel sight. The fitment will be a bit of a lottery by design. I've tweaked then tangs on the sight slightly and roughly halved the amount of play. I'm thinking I might make some shims later or even re make the rear sight plate as a machined part if it bugs me enough.

Looking a the gun as a whole it does seem to be let down a bit in places by a lack of finishing/QC. Especially as it's quite an expensive gun and not a cheap Chinese SMK offering.

No play at all on the rear sight on mine. Odd?

    Few pics anyway.

    Thanks for checking rmwesley.

The way the sight is designed and fits to the top of the gun it will be a bit pot luck as to how much the play there is.

I reckon on whole it will be a good pistol but I think it's probably just let down a bit by poor quality control.
