Nothing definate yet so I`m just seeing what feed back comes from you guys and galls.
Think most people would agree that theirs very little financial reward in FT. So my proposal is this....
I am looking to personally run a book on this years grand prix series. Roughly, its graded, so for example AA shooters compete against each other over the nine rounds (you must do six). Where you finish in the final overall league determines how much you get paid out. Thinking £50 a person and if enough enter I would look to pay down to 5th place. ALL money taken paid out. You must have entered by round 3. Would like to know who would be up for this to see if it would work. Maybe start a list with name and grade?

I don't shoot ft, but 50 pound sounds a bit much. I thought you were meant to compete in a sport just for the enjoyment of the sport, not for the financial reward

Andrew will this be based along the lines of the castle grading system where someone hits 20 targets less than the bloke who hits the most targets wins or maybe we could have it on a sliding scale of any one who misses all 50 targets wins outright:D:D:D:D (Neil hit 39 targets and did not finnish in the top ten the guy through no fault of his own won hitting only 19 targets)

    Mr P,

I text Neil earlier to ask him how he had finished today ? 39 ex 40 but ........................................... no win never mind top 10 based on a handicap system ?

Is this the worlds most stupid handicap system ? i thought the idea of a handicap system was based on a level playing field ? or am i being thick ?

No need to answer the last bit

Even if not for profit got a feeling it would fall foul of gambling laws as not charitable and not a private lottery

I Think Neil would have had to have gone round 3 times and added his scores together to have possibly finnished second but that is probably me being bitter and twisted (I did not enter the competition because i do not shoot in the spirit of the game possibly because i like to think that if i hit enough targets i might win)

    Dear Mr P

    STOP BEING A MISERABLE T**T

You know our handicap systems are famous for being crap, and you know I intend to make them fair or better still scrap them altogether.. I agree Neil did win outright and should have taken the amazing cash prize of £12. But Carl did put alot of effort into trying to come up with a fair handicap system and weather it worked or not everybody had a good shoot on a fantastic course with good banter and great food.

Come on the Castle lads, bring that Clubs Cup back to Castle where it belongs.

Anyone want a wager they can beat castle in the Clubs Cup?

Quite agree Andy i would have been proud of that course and i appreciate carl did try to make it fair but when a guy hits twice as many targets as the guy who won you ain't gonna get many people wanting to play unless they are members of the twenty yard club.:D:D:D

The only problem with this,Is money is the root of all evil, and as we all know there are people who are,how can I put this, prepared to manipulate the truth for the sake of a point/hit but once money comes into play,it could go to a new level.Sad I know but true:mad:

Nothing to do with money mi luv even if i am playing for smarties i would not want to beat someone by default if and when i beat someone it will be because i have hit more targets not because of some wanked out handicap system,we already have a handicap system it is called GRADES AA,A,B and C dead simple you are shooting against someone of an equal abillaty unlesss it is an open competion then it is a level playingfield.
