    Hi

My Ev2 has suffered a drop in power, was set @ 775fps but now its only doing 760fps.

I have checked the barrel it is secure & the transfer port is in line (this happened just after I bought it)
I cant achieve anything above 760 regardless of setting.

Any ideas before I attack the reg

    regards Jon

Wind open your trasnfer port fully, Then wind hammer spring in till your just over power, then close up transfer port to get power bang on. That way if it ever drops again you have a little more power to be had in your transfer port adjustment.

What even if you wind hammer it till it will not cock then back it of till you can cock it, Silly question You have taken to top trasfer locking nut off and are using the port adjuster underneath ? If still not right then yes reg prob need 1/8 to 1/4 of a turn.

    Hi further help required.

After testing the rifle extensively I found the reg to be leaking quite badly, on inspection of the reg internals, the nylon seat was deeply marked, it does seem to be quite soft so the sharp brass valve cuts in a little too much maybe. I realise this is necessary to make the seal but wondered if any body had tried using some of the harder Nylatron or Polypenco type materials.

Also what's the best lubricant to use on the washer pack? mine was heavily greased with what looked to be graphite based. I would of thought a slight smear would be sufficient.

Anyhow going to have a play see what's what

Any info would be much appreciated Regards Jon

    Hi all

Machined both the seats & reassembled.

Still got a slight leak!!!! Its got to be the bloody O ring in the reg housing anyone know what size it is ? then I can get one without having to strip it first.

    Regards Jon

I believe that there is a flat section 'o' ring in the reg. Try contacting airarmsdavid on the air arms site.

    Hi

The small O-ring fitted in the reg housing that seals on the brass valve stem is just a std O-ring on mine should this be a square section O-ring! as mentioned in the above post.
