What,s the best way to set up ev2 mk4 trigger . What do you set first is it the weight of pull
To be honest,if you dony know what you are doing leave it alone! A wise man(well,Holly) once told me of his exploits to set a ProTarget trigger that "sfter 2or3 hours of fiddling it was almost as good as before he started"
Good old Holly.
To be honest iv'e seen triggers cause real problems when messed with.
Guns going off by themselves, not cocking as it's been set too light, breath on it and it goes off etc.
If it's not too bad i'd leave as is really.
If you are intent on adjusting it, less is more.
Ev 2 trigger
Not set up right . Can not feel when 2nd stage is going to brake. Weight of pull seems right. Can feel start of 2 nd stage . Any help would be appreciated
Its awkward via the interweb mate,
Kinda need to be looking at it.
If you have the manual it say in there or you can download one also.
Sounds like a typical EV to me
contact John Ostler
If you want it set up properly make arrangment's for John Ostler to do it.
He has a little mod that he does to the trigger internal's and when he did my Ev it was much improved.
They can be an absolute swine to set up and even some of the top shot's will get someone else to do the task.
Start by increasing the second stage weight, slightly more than you want it.This way you will be able to set first stage weight to the weight your happy with.Do it the other way around and you'll struggle to get the correct second stage weight setting.
Now set the first stage travel, once your happy with that you can now set the second stage weight,if after you've done all that you find that the gun goes off prematurely you need to check if the sear engagement is set correctly and hasn't moved from the factory setting. This is usually about 1/8th of a turn anticlockwise.
Better still do away with a two stage trigger and just have a single stage.
ev 2 trigger
Thank for help will give it try
Haven't a clue when it comes to ev2's but thats how I set my steyr up after being shown by steyr uk, the principal is more or less the same on most guns . You will have to check your manual as to which screw does what though.
The EV and Pro Target have true 2 stage triggers. They are much harder to setup correctly than the trigger on a Steyr or a Walther.
