Paperworks need to travel to Euskadi

    Hi everybody

The documents need to come to the Euskadi will be ONLY :

1.- The document you must signed in the airport to transport by flight the airgun. This document will be as proof of being the owner of the airgun when you arrive at Bilbao Airport and to take the airgun at the police border office.

2.- The certificate provided by the Field Target Association of Euskadi ( AFTE )for each one of the foreign shooters that are going to participate in our Open. This document is quite designed and we'll provide us as download to be completed with the name, passport Nr., Airgun model, serial Nr., Caliber and power. This document serves as proof of attendance at a competition as well as certificate airgun class 4 ª 2, according the Spanish laws , if necessary. Is not mandatory, but can be useful if any police were not well informed about such weapons, nor on the Field Target competitions .

3.- According Spanish laws, the maximum airgun power classed as 4 ª 2 is 24,2 Joules= 17,847 Ft-Lbf. This is the maximun power can be used in the Open comp.

If you have any question , please don't hesitate to ask for.

    Best regards

    Hi all.
Please find below the certificate document to be presented when necessary to the customs authorities at Bilbao airport

You can find here the same certificate in Spanish as well as in English to better understand the contents.

I suggest you to use the "Spanish certificate" to be showed at the Spanish border police if neccesary.

Please, complete the personal data as well as the airgun.

I've found a cheap flight from Standstead, £ 150 return, direct, inc taxes, with Iberian Airlines... anyone know what their policy on taking guns is?

    Iberia information

    Hi Rob.
Are you sure if it's Iberia airlines the operator of the flight? . because I'll go the next Thursday form Bilbao to Stansted with EasyJet to participate in the NEFTA Classic and I don't have any information about this Iberia flight.
Anyway, I'll ask them tomorrow their airguns policy and then I'll inform you.

    Cheers

Ah, I'm wrong. I assumed it was Standstead because it was so cheap. It actually comes in to London Heathrow. But it is an Iberia.com flight IB 5391/0

If you can talk to Iberian Airlines, that would be great... but don't worry if you don't, I can call them in the next week or two.

Good luck with the Nefta :)

    Iberia policies with airguns

I've just asked for the issue. The answer has been:Not problem at all to transport airguns.
1- The airgun must be packed in different box than the pellets.
2- There is a fix tax for each airgun of 75 €.
3- The airgun is returned to his owner in the airport destination by the police authorities of the airport.

Moreover I think the air reservoir must be totally empty of air.

    Cheers

    Documents

    Hi all.

It will be very appreciate to know beforehand who have decided to come with us to provide them official invitations to participate in the Open to be show to the Guardia Civil in the airport.

You'll need to add information like:

    Name
    Passport Nr.
    Airgun model:
    Serial Nr.
    Caliber.

Please, you can pm to: tesla@arrakis.es with this information and you'll received the official invitation.

Moreover It will be enough a Club certificate as you are the owner of the airgun with the Club's stamp.

    Best regards

Yeh yeh :D i've seen Adios's Airlines trips abroad, 300 yds past Poole harbour and they kick them out there and then... blokes and lugging falling out the sky all over the shop... makes for an interesting slalom course when i'm trying to ski ;) Especially if i don't want to clip the geminis or the chinook picking them back up.

    Alea jacta est!

    Hi mates.
Next weekend will be held the Euskadi's Open.
Three Millrider's will be with us in this edition to enjoy the competition as well as the friendly people and Euskadi's restaurants, Roy, Greg and Shaun.
Perhaps next year , instead to be three Millrider's on tour , will be British shooters on tour coming from other FTC's.
You'll have early some news about this event.
    Good luck for everybody.
    Jesus
