At those prices I can't see the EB remaining the most popular scope in HFT for long

Ahh, I thought I saw you selling them for around that price, hence the confusion :)

I imagine that they'll still be good value for money if Pete can get them at the right price but I can see sales suffering where retailers are concerned. They're good but lets face it who's got 400+ spare to splash out at the mo ? Not many people I imagine !!!

    ouch

any obvious reason for price hike or is it just the economic situation at the moment because that is more than a 2nd hand pcp for most people :(

When the prices would have been calculated (around the turn of the year) the $ was very strong against the £ which will have effected it to an extent. Also the cost for manufacturing anything is high at the minute as things are slower and production costs have risen - Even in China/Japan. Currency has a huge effect on everything we buy especially if it's imported - Look at how much Walthers and Steyrs have gone up in the past year!

But other than that, they're in business to make money with things the way they are they'll have forecast fewer sales so increased the margins to make the same profit and keep things afloat.;)
