What are your lads option on the delta striker. Used in ft 5-50×56
Having looked through one.... I won't be swapping my 12 year old Nikko NATO mk1... to get one... didn't like the reticule and the rangefinding was.... how can I put it... oh yeah SHITE.... just my opinion though, so buy two...!
You and I have different opinions of this scope Ellis, I have just reviewed one for CompAir and I thought it was an excellent scope and real value for money at just under £1400.
...but is it really value for money at TWICE the price of a Nikko?
I’ve heard some good reports, not seen one or used one though so I can’t offer anything other than hearsay.
Thats What forums are for !
Is it nearly twice as good as your comp though? Look forward to the next issue and your review.
As I've said elsewhere, that's not the point of a review, that's a comparison, and not a very fair one.
Last week I did compare a PM11 to my 45 Comp and there were aspects of each I liked.
Conor, that is always the toughest question, certainly the Delta is better made, it should be with a 10 year guarantee, is it twice the scope the Nikko is? No I don't think it is. Is it better? That's not for me to judge and I'm not sure it's a judgement that can be made as there is so much subjectivity and individuality involved, one mans fish and all that.
Yeah but to be fair, you write for the Airgun mags, so every thing ever tested is mega... !!!
Sorry, in what way is your libellous statement "fair".
While I'd agree that many of the mainstream airgun comics do seem to find everything brilliant, excellent, fabulous or great value for money (which I think translates to "it's cheap but shoots like a shotgun"). I found the Compair reviews to be OK so far. Less eulogy and more fact. Certainly a more acceptable balance.
3 of the lads at my club have brought the delta stryker. So I will be compairing my big Nikko to there delta .
