Round 4 of the series at Furnace Mill - http://www.furnacemill.net/HFTFT.htm
Not long to go, it's a new venue for lots of us and I know a few people are really looking forward to their first visit to Furnace Mill. Results from the previous rounds and dates of the next ones are here.
See you all soon.
can anyone pitch up and have a go, or do you have to be registered
Just pitch up mate
Like Chris says mate, anyone can turn up and have a go. We even have an Unlimited class where you can sit and range the targets if you like.
nice one Ryan - will probably pitch up with the 510 - now just how do you use mildots
sat nav coordinates are N52.38568, W2.41386 if that helps
do you have to shoot prone?
reason I ask is due to my busted back (now fused back together) I am highly unlikely to be able to get up from prone - can I shoot kneeling instead??
You can go in the unlimited class and shoot sitting if it's easier Phil and thanks for the sat nav co-ordinates.
Cheers mate - in the diary - look forward to meeting up with you at last mate - are you shooting at Dowry Hill next week?
I think i will come along and join in with you at this one Phil, i like Furnace mill i have not done too bad on my last few visits here
I'll be at Quarry mate, got loads of new stuff to try out before the start of the season proper.
Excellent, thats two names I can put to faces and I really want to have a squizz through your scope please Simon.
I am looking forward to it Ryan, Jane does a nice breakfast, the course is quite well protected from the elements and i have won the last 3 bsa forum meets there, it may be a different story against the big boys!!
Never underestimate the power of local knowledge! Hopefully Laity can make it up with his Beesa too.
Can't wait ...seems bloody ages since Millride
I know! I picked my gun up for the first time since Millride today, mustn't leave it that long again as I'd forgotten which end did what!
If you get a lump of lead coming outta your ass at 800 fps Ryan then I guess you got it wrong
Some of the targets will be familliar and some won't be. I'm hoping we can add a bit to the current layout.
As Simon says the woodland tends to be reasonably free of wind so we'll have to think our way round that when we set the course.
Going to try and make this one Ryan with Pete F and BIG Chris S well 99.5% sure
Right folks as a bit of help for Jane who will be keeping us all fed can we get a list of names so she has a better idea of how much food to get in - Jane is concerned about running out so our reputation precedes us!!
