Anyone know the official line on whether of not our guns cylinders need period inspection / testing? Our diving bottles require a compulsory 5 year inspection! What about our guns cylinders?

I was told steyr cylinders have a 10 year life then need renewing, But I`ve seen older ones still being used.

If you shoot 10m in competition I think the governing body requires a test every 10 years, but as a rifles cylinder is under 1/2 litre it does not require testing by law.
