The Final Round of the season
Cake makers are to be requested for suitable cakes for the last round.
Initial rough course layout and positions to be made this Sunday and where we can put some 'interesting' targets. Been asked to have some in the field so we may just to keep the visitors happy .
Lets hope the weather plays nicely for it. We may even have a BBQ going but not sure yet.
Link to club ignore the date though.
Here are a few pictures
Morning has broken
The edgeof the copse and field (also known as 'where did that one go')
A few targets
7 Days to go
before the final round of the CSFTA winter league.
Finally managed to get up the range today, got 10 lanes prepared but have a lot of work to do this Friday and Saturday so hoping for dry weather. Quite a few boggy bits have appeared since last up there so are modifying the courses as we go along.
On the food side we will be having cakes (seems to the the CSFTA thing this year) made by various members and the husbands .
Will be my first visit to Carisbrooke, so looking forward to shooting at a new ground....
Also looking forward to cakes..... yummy..... ..... Glad to see I set a trend.....
We are praying to the weather Gods at the moment for some dry weather to make our life a bit easier setting up and easier for cars to come in and out.
Caravan being spruced (tidyed) up before the shoot as well. Going to see the results of some 'modifications' we are doing to some targets and their mountings.
Will have a copy of all the pictures that were taken at Bisley (mainly Carisbrooke but a few others as well) for you as requested.
Im looking forward to Sunday, just nursing a bad back at the mo, but working on being fighting fit.....
Thank you very much in advance for the piccs... you are a star
Due to the rain over the last week we have been requested by the farmer not to drive cars into the field. We are having someone to help with the parking around the farmyard. So I am afraid there will be a hike across the field.
Now to the good news
Course set out and a couple of jobs to do in the morning (strings) and check for twigs etc for Rob to limit the whistles
Tea, coffee and cakes will be available . As soon as anyone is ready they can start.
Ok, will pack rucksack...
and nail clippers for twigs
