I presume there is no problem with a few taffies making the trip down the M4 Sunday for our annual pilgramige to Bisley.

    What are start times?

We were thinking of getting to bisley around 9.30, half hour in the shops, see if i can find a gimp coaty that fits then over to sign in. about 10 or just after.

I am hoping to shoot with Woody again. However, as he has done a great Job on my stock i may let him beat me this time :p

Most importantly, wuill there be cakes.

    Blueburry muffins Mrs. Wood????

Just a quick note as the weather stands this weekends winter league shoot is still on.

Snow is on the ground and if it gets no worse its all go BUT PLEASE BE AWARE of the carpark its very icy and the snow masks this. Also if it does defrost the ground is going to be very very soft too.

Best you car share then there's lots of helpers if you get stuck. :D

Obviously your safety is paramount and if the weather worsens please dont risk it. I will keep you posted if things change this end and we have to cancel. I will endeavor to let you know in plenty of time but im not going to panic at the first flake of snow.

    See you then

    See you sunday.

No snow due here all weekend, so hopefully you're the same. We had ours last night. It's gone now :(

Many thanks to all who set up a testing course. Really cold to begin with then just cold but I can definitely see the advantage of a wood stock over the Alutec - my trigger finger got so cold (despite putting a glove on as often as possible) that I couldn't feel the release point a few times. Maybe I should apply a bit of fur on to the stock where I rest my trigger finger .. speaking of which ...

Some of the trees were not playing fair - dumping snow down my neck just as I was about to fire - I wasn't the only one who suffered these cruel jokes from the treetops - ninja squirrels?

Thanks again Bisley and those special few who set up courses on these winter days.

    Cheers
    Neil

    Snow

Enjoyed the day out at bisley today.

Cold but not freezing though by target 30 would have been happy to finish. Snow was pretty apart from when it fell off the trees on you lol.

Great company with arms delaer, Woody and Geoff Hawes. Heard Woody trying to do a swap with geoff, woodys Styer for the NJR but wise old Geoff was having none of it lol.

Not too hard a course, only needed to come out of kill for 1 target but as today was first test session with exacts stayed in to see what happened?
    about half inch was needed.
nice range of sitters, some long, average and nice to see some shorter full size kills out.
Cant say i liked the mix of target colours in the lane though to be honest, prefere to see a lane with two targets the same colour.
Nice to see some elevated shots in the trees
good range of 25 ml kills and was happy my new settings took the 15 ml out.
Kneelers were good testing ranges and the standers for me were the hardest targets on the course, well the 40 + 37 ones.

Hope to be back next Winter, great ground to visit.

    Thanks to all.

Will pop some photos up later.

On behalf of the Carisbrooke mob thanks for a great day, well for some of us from the club :D . Seems like I need to put more practise in for myself rather than help everyone else.

Jemma has raised her game scoring 21, 30 and 28 in the last 3 shoots and beating the other club members on the last 2 shoots.

See you all at Wendover in 2 weeks for maybe slightly warmer weather
