Conditions weren't that bad...many found it tough, but they were readable, which for Bisley is a first... but the course was long, and there was no room for error with the wind... you had to know where to put those crosshairs, guessing or playing the odds was not good enough.

I reckon 10 targets over 50 yds, kneelers were maxed out on one lane, standers were 25-40 yds... it didn't feel too tough, but I found the wind just wanted more than I gave it...

I was pleased that despite some not coming up to their normal standard (inc me), there were others ready to jump into their graves and soldier on... if we all sing from the right hymn sheet on the day, there could be some fun at the regionals...

Yep ta. That was a short sharp snap... I was back in work Monday!

I'm having fun with a new rig, and what it's taught me is that I like my old one and there's things I need to sort on this new one... so once it's back from the painters, it's back in and on... the action is fine, but it's the whole package that isn't quite working as one yet.

Nope but it has Summer and Winter settings:D .

To me Bisley is just one of those ground that you either suss the wind or not and in my case its usually not. The same as split pellets, never had any of mine go down at Bisley and had 3 yesterday. Must also remember not to aim just on the edge of the kill as did that 4 times and thats where the pellet goes.

I felt the same as Rob, the course was long but there were also some short ones that gave others problems. See you all at Christchurch in 4 weeks time.

Are we going to let him in CSFTA when he comes to the region Andy?

I suppose he'll have to qualify for the team, so it might not be a problem anyway... but can you imagine all the SEFTA twittering if he didn't make the team? Singing? You'd hear them crowing on the Isle! :D

Rob, he will have to do his best like the rest of us. Maybe he might be humbled by the regions winter league shooters if he decides to retire. As they say its not given that anyone will qualify for representing the region, we all have to work for it.

I think that the Isle is holding the Showdown again Rob, working on doing 3 courses to make things interesting for those who will shoot it and the field will be in use in a slightly different way. See you on the 18th at your place.
