Just a heads up... the CSFTA FT section has been proposing to get together to sort it's winter league out, and Mick also said he'd like to get the HFT clubs in the region in on it to discuss other things as well.

We've had a round robin on the email, but i'm not sure if everyone has seen it (holiday season...) but it's been suggested on the 17th at Bisley for 7.30 pm

How does that sound to everyone?

Sorry, just had it pointed out that this was a bit vague... it's intended for club reps and the CSFTA body :)

    Hi Rob

I'd have thought this should be posted on the CSFTA website if its not already, however August is not a good time due to the holiday season. I would suggest September is better.

I strongly believe that the CSFTA needs to ensure that whatever date is selected, it should be one where all the regions clubs can ensure a presence as there are a number of issue that need discussing.

    Hi Bob,

It's just something a few of us have taken the initiative on to try and get dates etc sorted for the region... If we delay until Sept then there's a chance some of the dates could clash etc and we want to avoid that if we can...

i'll cc you in on the email, as with Meon as well and we'll see what shakes loose. It's always difficult to get everyone around the table at the same time... but i'm sure if we can just get people talking about a meeting then it's a move in a right direction :)

    Cheers

    Rob

Hopefully we can sort something out... like i say, this is just a call to gather and a date to try and work to, but if there's a better one then lets see what shakes loose.

    Glenn,

    Added you to the list...

current thinking is that it would be good to get the BARPC boys in on it... they're keen to get a date in...

Dunno how the 1st week in september is looking for everyone.

If anyone's not on the list who you think should be... add them and send it out again. We really want to get the secs and comp secs etc talking well, so the regional sec has the easiest job possible, because I know Andy will be hard at it during the week getting the Masters and Showdown courses out for the BFTA crew at Newbury for the 5th/6th.

I spoke to Andy from Newbury, Glenn from N.Oxon, Lyndeen & Mick from Bisley, and myself... (yes it's getting like that in my head) and we all punted for the 17th August 8pm (although i'll probably try and get there a bit earlier)

So I think that's it and i'll wack out an email tonight.
