CSFTA FT Round 6: Meon Valley
CSFTA Round 6 - At last
After a few rounds off bad weather postponements, Round 6 is on.
Ground underfoot is quite reasonable, as MVAC held their HFT Winter league round 23-2-14 with no major venue issues.
Would advise though of checking the directions to Meon Valley AC with a route planner, especially if you're a new visitor.
Top stuff. Looking forward to this...
Looking forward to this shoot ,see you all there.
All being well I shall be along to marshall, take photos and dispense appropriate mickey taking If the wind is like it was last weekend I shall also be supplying tissues to mop up the tears as you leave the course
Will be great to see you Vinny...
It would be good to see you donkus dickus
10 am start on the line, safety briefing beforehand
Anyone not certain where MEON Valley is, see Google Map reference 51.01173 , -1.05958
Take the side turning, off the main road and follow for approx 1.5 mile. Please drive slowly and watch out for the pheasants.
A272 at Bramdean is closed. Best to approach via the A3, via Langrish, and East Meon.
You making it up the hill Alex?
Yup, plan is to have a competative crack at 40 targets, even though I've not shot for quite a while.
The course goes out on Saturday, so it should be a reasonable weekend.
Good stuff Alex
Well done to the Meon crew today. Top stuff. A shoot that showed that it doesn't need everything at extreme to test, and didn't we get the wind to prove it. Apart from the few that seemingly wanted nothing the rest were a case of counting kills out, sometimes off the plate.
Well done to Glenn Newman with his 32 closely followed by Justin Wood on his 31. I had to dig deep to keep ahead of Judit showing that a jacket and march does little to keep down a c grader who sticks the cross hairs in the right place.
Nice shooting all. Looking forward to north oxon next weekend
Thank you Meon for a great course, and that wind was so unpredictable ,one minute keep inside, then out side, then straight at .o
Scores are up on csfta.co.uk thanks to Alan's speedy fingers
Good fun. Well other than the killer pothole …… so few tire places open on Sundays (none in Petersfield!) but eventually found one in Alton. Sorry if you were stuck behind me on the umpteen roads I crawled along at 40+ - not many lay-bys these days, but I puled over a few times.
I am sure if i had not done the whole course standing i could have done a bit better ? Well done to my shooting partner geof , for putting up with me ??? HOLLY
PS oh and justin . when you win the golden bunny , who needs the big score ?
Judging by the way i dinked the 20 yd stander I think I was better off sitting... just...
Congrats Hol's, spend it wisely. No fast cars or loose Woman now, think of your heart!!
Thanks to Meon.
See you at North Oxon.
Holly many thanks for the entertaining morning the time flew by!
Many thanks to Meon for setting the course, tricky wind but enjoyable shooting.
