Just a heads up for all the CSFTA'ers coming along.

At the moment the major roads in are all clear, and as the club is only a few 100 yds of sandy gravel away from a main one I don't anticipate any major problems.

I heard the A3 was bad, but I think that's sorted now. Certainly the main drag from Ringwood is clear, and I haven't heard of any other major problems.

I'm going down the club sunday to bash the landscape into place, and Mick and I spoke on the phone to say Wednesday will be the Go or No-Go decision day, but fingers crossed. I would think in the exception of heavy snow forecast before the weekend it looks like it's on. We only got a light dusting here, barely a cm, so if you can get to a main road then you can make it in.

    Made it down the club.

The lane had compacted snow and ice on it, but it wasn't a problem with care taken.

One of the problems is that CGC was sodden before the freeze, and the sand has frozen solid, perhaps to a depth of 6" and getting anything into the ground, even road pins, is impossible. But we've solved the problems of getting targets into the ground, and hopefully some inginuity will solve the gate markers...

The targets have been painted, a nice shade of black and white so they stand out clearly against the, er, black and white background.

    It's a go.

Certainly in town all the snow has gone... and we've been + zero for over 24 hours now, so i expect it's gone at the club as well...

It's 8 degrees tonight, not an ounce (or gram) of snow in sight... targets are up, course is laid. Perhaps a few tweaks in the morning depending on the breeze, and then it's game on! :D
