    Combined Clubs Cup Challenge

    . Date: August 1st 2010
    . Venue: Anston (Derbyshire)

Please note: This is a club based head to head knockout style competition.

    • £ 20.00 entry fee per team
    • 3 x FT shooters & 3 x HFT shooters per squad
    • Pre booked , before end june 2010
    • Maximum 16 teams, but clubs may be able to field more than 1 team if space permits .
    • Draw to be done out of hat at beginning of the day e.g. Team 1 against Team 2 etc .
    • In the 1st round all 6 team members to shoot .
    • Winning teams that progress to further rounds are only allowed to field 2 x FT shooters & 2 x HFT shooters per round.
    • The FT shooter & HFT shooter left out of the previous round must take part in the next round if they get through.
    • No one person can shoot more than 2 successive rounds (team tactics will play a part in progressing through rounds)
    • 20 shot courses made up of 16 + 4 bonus shots
    • 2 x shots per lane. 1 minute per lane timed.
    • Scoring system is X for a hit and 0 for a miss.
    • There will be 2 x Standers + 2 x Kneelers per course.
    • There will be mini kills at HFT distances and targets at 55 yards maximum range.
    • FT shooters will shoot against each other and HFT shooters will shoot against each other.

    BONUS LANE

After team members have shot the first 16 targets all team members can then get together to discuss how the scores stand. The bonus lane gives teams that are behind a chance to claw points back. Each shooter is then allowed to take the further four bonus shots. These bonus shots are taken in a tent so no one from another team knows how each shooter has taken their 4 shots . Shooters go in one at a time with an independent marshal. Each shooter has 3 minutes to take the 4 bonus shots in the bonus lane. If targets are missed or plated they score 0 points. Targets that are knocked down from the prone or sitting position will score 1 point. Targets that are knocked down from the kneeling position are rewarded a score of 2 points. Anyone brave enough to shoot and knockdown the bonus targets from the standing position will score 3 points per target. All shooters that have participated in each round will take part on the bonus lane.

Any interested clubs, please contact Andy Calpin on 07881538312

Some words from Andy "Leg End " Calpin...

Yorkshire based Pontefract ARC have thrown down the gauntlet to any club that have amongst their ranks a contingent of ft & hfters that fancy wrestling off them the title of best all round air gun club in the country.
The title was bestowed on them when they won the " Combined Clubs Cup Challenge " at Anston air gun club's woodland ground in 2009.
This years event is to be held at anston once again on the 1st August.

The cost per team is £20.00 with gold , silver & bronze ( miniature knockdown targets ) to the winners.

A perpetual trophy is being commissioned to put the winners names on and will be well worth the hard work it will take to win the shoot.

We hope to get 16 teams involved this year & clubs may be able to field more than 1 team if we have enough space available .

For more info go on the nefta website.

Can I just check if anyone shooting HFT will be able to alter their scopes parallax during the shoot?

I know this is not allowed in normal HFT but we will have targets out to 55 yards in this comp and was wondering how the rules work.

    Thanks

    Dave.
