Close focus adapter??

    May well be a stupid question but I don't know the answer and its dark outside:rolleyes:will changing the distance from the front lense to the cfa alter range finding marks?ie.a longer or shorter sunshade.Ta

    Not sure, more than likely yes as you are changing optical relationships between lenses. Best thing to do i'm afraid is to experament.

    I don't think it will, very much. The CFA bends the light rays from parallel to slightly converging. It's those slightly converging rays that strike the front element. The front element is usually slightly convex on the outer face. So the angle of incidence is pretty well the same whether the CFA is almost touching the front element or say 3 inches away.

    Best to try it. :cool:

    Cheers fellas,I will try it,but it will have to wait untill saturday.It was just on my mind and I thought someone would know on here:D

    Just to update I have had a chance to try this today and there is a difference of about 10mm on a 100mm sidewheel between a 60mm & 100mm sunshade :eek:
    Ps.Has anyone elses font size gone smaller when you click on a thread,its only on this forum,started yesterday for me??
