    Claret Cup 18/11/12

Good weather greeted all the happy shooters today .

Just for a change the wind was not as bad as it had been recently , but still confusing to judge.

Gloucester s finest HFT shooter , Tony Male had a great day out, top score, well done.

Young Alex continues to improve his scores every time we shoot. Second today, well done.

As always , Johnny Smith set a course to challenge the best of us , catching lots of guys out , range
finding & wind estimation ...... A sure way to destroy ones confidence .

Tiny kills, short ranges , all challenging shots .

Add sunshine in the eyes, wind , cheeky chatter from your mates, always a great way to create a miss .......

So many zero's today - makes Johnny proud !!! :eek:o

All targets were set according to UKAHFT rules.

Really good course today, I especially liked the kneeler that was in the tree.

Thanks Gerry and another great day at Worcester Air Rifles, a great bunch of guys, wall to wall blue sky, fantastic views across Worcestershire and a tricky course.

I must admit I did miss a couple of targets on purpose just to bring a smile to Jonny's face (if only)

Great course, wide range of targets all of which seemed to be beyond me in one guise or another, still fun in the sun though :)

It was a good day out, even though I forgot my boots and shooting mat

Thanks for the loan of your mat Tony, it was much appreciated!

Great shooting Tony :shot:. Really enjoyed Mick's and your company.

Well done also to Alex - you keep on getting better and better.

Thanks Johnny for the really good mix of ranges and kill zones, coupled with the infamous Worcester wind made for a challenging course.

Some interesting scores posted for the Claret Cup - Gerry, Darrin and myself all on 50, and Tom on 49. We wait with bated breath for the latest results to go on the WAR website. In the meantime I've tasked GCHQ with cracking the complex algorithm Johnny uses to set the handicap scores ;):D
