    Claret Cup :- Round 2

Worcester Air Rifle Club hosted round 2 of the Claret Cup HFT shoot today .

The weather was absolutely perfect , just a little bit of wind to catch out the shooters.

A well known air gun tuner managed to spread a rumour that a Rat target was 48 yards away ....

Played nicely with every one s head , resulting in only 4 full scoring hits on it ....

Johnny Smith was at his best course setting again today ....

Caught out loads of guys , a 35 yarder every one missed turned out to 41 yards ....

Apparently a certain shooter who shall remain nameless owes Johnny a cool £20 because the “48†yard target turned out to be 6 inches short of 45 yards, when the tape measure was brought out ....

All ties resolved on count back .

    1) Gerry Baillon 55 AA S400
    2) Darrin Lynn 51 Springer HW 97

Gerry, I think the 'certain shooter' started off by betting £200 but Johny was too kind to take all his money from him so settled at £20. There were some xtx rated expletives when he realised he had lost his hard earned cash.

Another fine course thanks Johnny and to think two weeks ago we were shooting in 6" of snow instead of the green grass and hazy sunshine of today.
