Camera ?

    I was thinking of buying a new camera for myself and have been looking at the CANNON EOS 500D SLR 18+200 .whaddayah think of it . i am an auto focus man man by the way . can this be downloaded like the smaller cameras onto my computor ??? HOLLY

    Good choice with no problems loading to the computer, I have just bought the 50D, still trying to find what all the buttons do. Rob will put you right if you need more info.

    looks good to me... to be honest you can't buy a bad camera these days... it's more what suits the bill, and the canon and nikon slr's give a bloody good bang for buck, plus you'll be on the path that will allow you to upgrade the lens etc

    the lens will pretty much cover most things, and if you find it lacking then you can buy a more specialist lens for that.

    no problems about getting the pics on the machine...

    for my 2p worth, the body is a great starter and will not let you down.

    just a challenge for you really on the lens - it has a good range on it, and would not let you down. It is however, a little bit of a compromise on the quality front due to the focal length range

    if you can afford it, go for two lenses to cove rthe range as they would produce slightly better quality pictures
