Never touched mine when I had it tbh! If you do use a pull through take the stripper off 1st.

Barrel cleaning is a strange one as some barrels need it and some don't. I've had a few steyr's over the yeasrs and one i owned only had a barrel clean once per 6 months but the 2 i have now (both different barrels) need a pull through once per month and some cleaning felts through each shoot. I have owned an EV2 a long time ago and that liked a clean barrel. I think all shooters should have one as it's a simple way to discount a dirty barrel when having grouping problems. My normal steps if a rifle is grouping badly is to clean the barrel and if still bad try different pellets.

I make my own pull throughs so if you want me to pop one in the post please PM me your address:)

To keep the tightest groups, every Ev2 Barrel I have seen or used has needed to be cleaned about every 150 -200 pellets.

With out cleaning you see the odd flyer start to appear, that's if you can hold steady enough to notice such things and are using pellets that suit the barrel.

napier cleaning kit for mine, usually 2 or 3 pull throughs each time.

No need to take the stripper off, infact I would advise against this as if you put it back on slightly out, you may turn your EV2 into a Shotgun ( Eh Zak!)

Simple solution is a straw from McDonalds, of which I have many lol:p

I have EV2 and FTP (same barrel) and they all like to be cleaned at least once per tin if not more often

I've got an ev2 mk4 and found it was very erratic using jsb pellets so had a word with two very well known shooters in my nefta region who both use ev2's and they advised me to use air arms pellets and to clean the barrel now it's a drawing pin driver at 55 yards very accurate

you dont have to clean your barrel, but if you want to have a better chance of hitting the target its wise to do so. do mine approx every 250. as stated no need to remove stripper, large drinking straw does the trick.

As others have said, clean barrel every 200 or so pellets, do not remove stripper but insert a drinking straw into stripper and pass the pull through up through the straw and directly into barrel. Removing the stripper will change your point of impact. ;)

My Mk4 is happy with JSB exact 4.52 but it prefers 4.53. Just a little bit more consistent. On the whole it is not too pellet fussy unlike my S400 which only performs well with 4.52s.

Clever logical man once told me
Clean barrel find pellet to suit clean barrel
Reason : easy to keep barrel clean consistently , tricky to keep it in any stage of dirty , it seems no magic there .

Not saying every barrel in the world performs best clean just saying logic seems to work a fair bit .

No magic required again unfortunatly :(
