hi Guys have any of you tried this scope for FT and if so what are your thoughts please
Tried one and found it too vague above 45 yards. Some people get on ok with them but not seen many in use.
Heard they move a lot in tempreture aswell, Jeff Skinner had one but not very long lol, Also i think this is the scope which Nick Murphy uses on his boinger but could be wrong.

cheers guys will give that one a miss then
Correct Mike the spring gun champ has been using one for years along with a few others.
Need refocussing as well and cant be locked down except the early ones.
Seen a couple where the ret wanders dependant where focus is set.
Nothing wrong with the 4200 Elite 8-32x40 front paralax model, once you've learnt to use them that is lol, cracking little scope for the money.

had a look through one of those the other day quite nice it had mildots as well
Great scope, not had any of the problems mentioned above and I have 4. nice wide gaps at 50/55yd on small 75mm wheel. It mags down for standers and nice and light at 22 oz giving the gun great balance. Ranging is easy and reliable once you learn to look for fine detail and never disagrees with mates 40mag lupe comp just takes a little practice. If you are used to sharp click in out focusing it can be hard to adjust but it is reliable. Bearing in mind the cost at about £600 its optics are as good or better than the Nikko. The Leup comp has better optics but wont mag down and costs twice as much. I have used the 6500 for 3 years, since I saw Nick Murphy's and have had no problems.
The 4200 has super clear optics, better than the 6500, but front paralax os PIA.
Jev thanks for your imput, i currently use a scope that clicks in and out i have had two leup comps and couldnt get on with those at all, am going to the gun shop on monday and they have one in will have a look and see
What's wrong with the sightron? Just seen the new one with illuminated NATO ret
the sightron is superb does everything i ask hasnt shifted at all ranges the same all the time has lovely big mildots for tired old eyes, i just want another ft scope to stick on my steyr as a back up for the evie
To be honest Paul, i reckon you wont be able to use it.
Its like a BSA to a Comp Series then same again except no resolution, could easilly be 15 yards out.
Best is to try one at a ground, not in a shop. Phil J's got one Nemos mate.
So ,what scope would that be?
Just ignore me gents, missed half the posts lol.
i was getting that feeling will see if i can catch phil j and try his just to make sure.
I've got my mk3 nikko diamond for sale if ur interested. Will be at Redferns tomorrow.
The Big Elite is probaly the worst scope i have ever looked through . how murphy uses one i do not know . the only thing that i can align it to is a very old custom shop . dim to look through and with a nasty colour around the edge . the 8+32 elite yes and a 35 mag comp X with the three inch sidewheel , yes ??? HOLLY
been working all day sunday
cheers holly its al least got to be close to my sightron for ease of use and brightness its going to be for a spare ft gun but i want it to work well
hi paul. the 6500 all shift 10% in temp the one that i had was the taktical and in 5mins in the sun a 50 yard target showed 55 took it out of the sun for ten mins it showed 50 yards again, that i could not do with so i whent back to the 4200 but got a new one from swillington that was the new h.d. none off the 4200 have ever shifted in temp for me other than at well below zero like 8 or 9.
