Has anyone else noticed that there seems to be two different versions about, same spec etc but definately optics on some are not the same as others.

There are two prices out there for a new Bushnell 6500 and one is about £80 cheaper ,how the boys at Blackpool airguns sell them at that price were the rest of the shops are £80 higher. You do wonder were they get them from.
    Cheers Villiers:)

Got two, one from BAR and one from somewhere else, they are different:eek: one has different turrets from the other. On the BAR 6500 I find that I have to set the paralax at 35/40yds for HFT on the other its set at 23 yds, optically I can't see any difference but then my eyes are shot anyway. Saying that the one I got from somewhere else is on my main gun;)

I bought mine from Swillington Shooting Supplies back in september, it was the cheapest i could find in this country at the time. I can't fault the scope, crystal clear optics, good depth of field and hardly any parralax error. I set the Px to about 23 yds, the same as the one Chris didn't get from BAR. I would like to have a look through your other one Chris to see if there is any difference, perhaps you could bring it to Meon mate.

You put the BAR one on a Dommie, that's like putting go faster stripes on a Ferrari:p

For me my Wolf is better than a Dommie so far, I need to do another testing session based on what I've learnt so far but based on current results I won't be swapping ;););):eek::eek::eek:

I get them from Vickers sports optics, the UK official importer for Bushnell. So not grey imports or dodgy in any way. Our price is cheap because we have set a very low margin on them and we got a great deal from Vickers to tempt us into becoming a permanent stockist.

So no conspiracy theory . If anyone would like to confirm, ring Vickers on 01634 201284 and ask for Stewart.

Vickers were doing some really good offers to the dealers recently (for once) and we found we could get very close to BAR's prices for scopes like the Legend 5-15x40.

Can't the ones with two different ones just email Bushnell with the serial no.s and ask if there is any build difference at point of manufacture.

It's not uncommon for manufacturers to change spec slightly without having to make a public announcement, Leupold have done it 3 times to my knowledge with the EFR's , I owned all 3 spec's.

Obvious Differences were finish, objective O/D (with the same size lens) and thread pitches.

These manufacturing & technical differences are no big deal really and certainly not grounds for casting aspersions.
