Has anyone tried one of these endoscopes yet in a .177 barrel UR HQCC Wifi Endoscope 3.9mm camera They are for sale at about £55
Looks like you can make your own boar inspector out of wood....this kid has one.....looks easy enough to knock up...
Had a quick look googleing that description. Only 3.9mm at the end gets wider a few inches in. Designed for digging earwax out
You can save yourself a lot of expense and hassle, by just not putting ear wax down your barrel in the first place.
It looks like there is more than 1 version. The earwax model is described as an otoscope The one I can see looks parallel at 3.9 mm and is described as a borescope. Its limitation may be that the camera looks like it could have a very narrow angle of view
I found it I found it looks like it might be forward facing https://www.amazon.co.uk/Ur-HQCC-Se...r+hqcc+3.9+mm+endoscope&qid=1574057050&sr=8-4
From Phil's link the viewing angle is "70 degrees" (not sure with respect to what) and the the focal length is 4-6cm; so probably not suitable for our uses based on the focal length alone; especially if the viewing angle is 70 degrees to the principal / bore axis as it won't focus close enough to see the bit of the bore it's pointing at.. In other news while not yet the holy grail, I've been playing with a Teslong .22" friendly USB bore scope with very favourable findings; the company seems pretty decent and pragmatic so hopefully they'll heed my suggestion of the need for a .17 / .177" capable model too
Arrived last week. Great deal. 11Euro. It goes inside 4.5'll barrel just fine. Problem?? Focus is like 2 cm away. It lets you inspect, you can see bright dots inside dirty barrel, lanes and grooves just fine. Very happy whit it for the money... Connects to USB in laptop, micro USB and USB C. To a Springer it is quite useful also...
never mind stills ........clover did a video some where i wish someone woud invent a tightspot -o-mometer
