Definately cross over matt, and not PA error? Have you dialed in the PA at each range just to check?

They should be ok but it depends how brave you are with the clamping on the dovetails. Even my one piece b-squares slipped until I gave them a final nip.

My Burris shoots 9 inches left at 15yards ( no sh#t ). Stuck some sportsmatch adjustable mounts on and you'd think crossover but no. Absolutely bang on.
My Alros trailsman shoots 1inch left at 50 yards with the 22 barrel but bang on with the 177 barrel so i put it down to barrel missalighnment, but that gun looks like it was made in someone's shed.

It's caused by Cant or Parallax error (or both) - save your money on mounts and get your scope leveled correctly.
This isn't easy on a TX (I know you've got a 97.. I'm just saying.. it's not easy on a TX - I've just been through this process on my setup)

I have used BKL mounts for the last couple of years on my Prosport, and no movement or misalignment at all.

I dont see why they would be any different on a HW.

You would weaken the BKL's too much as they are slotted underneath in the middle I reckon they could split if you did that. BKL's do not move in my experience on springers. Other alternative is a one piece mount.
Dont discard what Brian has mentioned though about setting the scope up properly.

I wasn't sure about using mine on my 95...doubt is a terrible thing. So went belt and braces and stuck sportsmatch on with arrestor pin .I mean,I doubt that they would have moved but now I'm sure and peace of mind is a wonderful thing.

I have used double strap and one piece BKL's on spring guns with no issues.

Not tried the single strap versions on springers though.

    Hi Matt,
Have single strap bkl's and bushnell 3200's on 8 different springers, cannot fault them.
